whatever is thrown my way

On a warm day I like to feel comfortable, stylish and ready to take on whatever is thrown my way. These photos were taken two weekends ago when we were lucky enough to have beautiful warm weather for this time of year!

I had a lunch date with some girlfriends, an afternoon drink with a friend for her birthday and a simple bbq dinner. Let me tell you this outfit really did work a trick for all occasions!

These shorts I’ve had for a while now and thought I’d give them one more try before I decided on their fate in my wardrobe. I’ve tried to be ruthless of late and only keep pieces I am actually wearing! I mean why clutter the wardrobe with outfits that aren’t going to be coming out! I forgot how comfy these were and how they make a real statement when worn and can easily be dressed up a little! They have been saved to be used some more over summer!  If you don’t see me in them it means I should have thrown!

Are you ruthless with your wardrobes?  Do you try to wear everything you have hanging in there or do you have way too much clutter?

bright, sunshine, flowers and smiles

Bright, sunshine, flowers and smiles; that  was what my weekend was about! I had such an incredible weekend, and the best part is I had an extra day with taking Monday off work!

On Friday I was spoilt with flowers sent to me at work by my beautiful friend, with the note “fresh flowers to brighten your day!” and that they did! It made the weekend feel like it was going to be wonderful.

I was in such a great mood from my surprise I grabbed Andrew and called my girlfriend and headed off to Union Street Wine Bar for a cheeky red straight after work. It was so nice to just unwind before launching into the weekend.  As we sat enjoying a glass of red I noticed I had an instagram message and I was very excited to see I had won some beautiful flowers from She’s a Wildflower thanks to King of the Castle’s first birthday! Aren’t they amazing?

Saturday saw us head of to watch the AFL prelim final with some mates which was great to catch up and with our team out it didn’t matter who won; although I was going for Port!!  Followed by a yummy dinner in Melbourne.

Sunday the sun was shinning, the Fox in Flats style challenge was bright and it just made it a beautiful day. I headed off to King of the Castle to pick up my beautiful flowers and enjoy  the glorious sunshine and really enjoyed the day!

festive season

I always find this week so busy! As mentioned it’s birthday week but it’s also almost Christmas so everything is on and happening.

We had Andrew’s Christmas party last week and I felt like been bright so went with this number. Like Vogue Vandal mentions on her blog I find the fit and flare skirt is super flattering for those girls with curves.

I love the bright pop of pink with the black and paired it with brown for my accessories.

What do you think?
