another winters day

What a weekend! Sometimes they just seem to be so busy as well as lots of fun!!

After a night out in Melbourne and a bit of a fuzzy head I got Andrew to get some snaps in the beautiful Carlton Gardens. Again a simple winters day outfit is what I’m most happy in on the weekends.

I love beanies to not only add some colour but also for the warmth! This one was a great find whilst in Tokyo last year.

Are you a beanie person? What are your favorites?

summer playsuit

I have been looking for a playsuit for so long… I didn’t know what exactly I was looking for until this came across my computer screen!

And it was on sale! Oh the joy; I knew it needed to come live in my wardrobe! The lace detail and the cut out at the back was what caught my attention.

Yes, it is a little short, but I feel if you cover the top half why not show off the legs! One day I wont be able to so enjoy while I can I say!

What do you think of my playsuit?

a fluffy vest

Witchery clutch

I’ve woken up to a beautiful winter morning and it makes you feel so happy even though it’s still freezing outside.

This outfit is one I wore a few weeks ago but just getting around to posting. I have had this fluffy vest for a few seasons now, but I have never decided if I should give it a good go or not!

I’m interested in your opinions… does it work?

Monday… how did you arrive so quickly?

Friday I went out with my mother-in-law and two sister-in-laws to the theatre in Geelong (GPAC). We have been going a bit of late and have seen some amazing shows and very talented Geelong people, this time we saw The King and I. I’ve always like dressing up for the theatre it’s a tradition in my eyes so I decided a dress it had to be!

I love this lace dress I found in Bali. I’ve paired it with some great comfy boots and my trusty black blazer, I think it did the job.

A thank you to my mum for taking these photos for me! She really is the best mum and I made sure I told her that yesterday on Mother’s Day.
I hope all the mum’s out there had a wonderful day celebrating with your wonderful children!

Kirsty full length

This outfit was put together after seeing a girl on TV. I loved her look and wanted to create something similar, not the same by any means but something with my own style.

I have also noticed quite a few fellow bloggers with similar looks as well. Chambray shirts, leather (ok it’s pleather) 🙂 skirt, neon colours and studs on shoes! That’s a whole lot of trends right there!

What do you think?

floral at laneway

Kirsty Sitting

Over the weekend I got the opportunity to work at the Melbourne Laneway Festival. I had so much fun, got to meet some amazing bands, but best of all got to hear some fantastic music.

I had a real dilemma as what I was going to wear. (Story of my life!) I wanted to wear something appropriate for working in, while still having the festival vibe about my outfit. I settled on my floral dress which you can see in full here.
I paired the outfit with leggings and a cardigan, to keep warm, as well as able to move around in quite easily without fear of showing my bottom!!

Here are some shots from the day.
