stylish wedding

gingham print

I love going to weddings. Feeling the love that is in the air; the happiness on both the couples faces and the amount of fun to be had celebrating the beautiful couple.

The wedding I went to last weekend was no exception! It was beautiful, every detail had been thought of and it was one of the most stylish weddings I have been too!

Fiona and Jonny were so happy and they radiated the love they had for each other.

Fiona and Jonny

The ceremony was held on the beach and as you walked down to the sand you were able to take your shoes off and grab a pair of thongs to put on. On the way off the sand there was even brushes provided to wipe your sandy toes! So thoughtful and brilliant details.

Inside was no exception with creative name tags, little bags for the cutlery and stunning flowers down the middle of the tables provided by a beautiful Geelong Florist Smellies.

I choose to wear a gingham dress that I found on ASOS and even scored it on sale. I am loving this cut at the moment and seem to be wearing it a lot. It is so flattering and shows off my frame.

I am a big believer in not wearing white to a wedding. I find it rude, however I was assured this dress was not white and that it was perfect for a wedding. I felt great and loved popping the dress with these beautiful watermelon strappy heels. They gave just the right tough!

The weather was perfect and we all had so much fun and partied into the night.

I am incredibly lucky to know a fantastic photographer who took all the photos for the wedding as well. I highly recommend you go have a look at her page! Katie Wheeler Photography is a local Geelong women and does an incredible job of capturing the moment. As a dear friend of mine Katie took some beautiful shots of my outfit and I am sooo happy with how they have come up! So you will notice there is an overload of photos today!

April flashback

April has been and gone… That went quickly! Maybe because of all the holidays we had in there!
I’m not complaining it was great to have a nice break and enjoy Easter and time to eat and drink and be merry, but it’s now time to get back on the fit campaign! ha ha

festive season

Geelong

I always find this week so busy! As mentioned it’s birthday week but it’s also almost Christmas so everything is on and happening.

We had Andrew’s Christmas party last week and I felt like been bright so went with this number. Like Vogue Vandal mentions on her blog I find the fit and flare skirt is super flattering for those girls with curves.

I love the bright pop of pink with the black and paired it with brown for my accessories.

What do you think?

bright in the sunshine

???????????????????????????????

For the last week I’ve been enjoying Sunny Queensland while visiting my grandparents. I didn’t want to leave as the weather has been amazing,  not so much back home!

I picked this dress up at a little boutique in Geelong and I think I’ll be living in it over summer (if it comes to Victoria!)

I hope everyone has had a great and fun weekend! I know we did.

my boutique meets footique

Last Wednesday evening I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of My Boutique (currently an online store) being stocked at the very popular shoe store in Pakington Street, Footique.

I love supporting local businesses and have been following My Boutique for a while so I was thrilled to be invited.

Dani and Bridget were super lovely and it was a really fun night filled with champagne, cupcakes, shoes and shopping! What more could a girl want!!

Go check them out, both are online stores as well!

eureka skydeck

Eureka

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Over the long weekend, we headed to Melbourne for a day of exploring. We did have to spend sometime (3 hours!) at Ikea as we are about to renovate our kitchen; but decided to do something fun first.

I was very lucky in getting tickets to go and explore Eureka Skydeck! What a view is all I can say… Travelling up 88 floors in the matter of seconds, you really can tell why Melbourne is one of the most beautiful cities! The views are spectacular and really show off the ever changing skyline.

We also got to go out of the “edge” which is a glass cube which pops out from the building – with you in it. Such a great thrill but not for those afraid of heights! You cant take photos inside, but it was great fun.

After taking these photos I’m wishing I didn’t have leggings on under my skirt as it would have looked much better however it wasn’t warm enough for bare legs!
