winter sunshine

baby bump

What a beautiful winter day we had on Sunday. It was still cold but the sun was shinning and you need that this time of year to thaw out the bones!

I have reached the halfway mark with the bump and have now realised my wardrobe needs to be altered. The “stretchy” stuff is becoming my new best friend. Although I am excited to say that I can still do up my jeans! (yay for low risers ) but not sure how much longer that will last. Some of my favourite pieces are going to have to stay in my wardrobe and will entice me back in a few months time!

When I wear dark clothes I do try to pop some sort of colour with the outfit. Whether that be my coat, or a scarf and in this case was my trusty mustard beanie. Although the sun was shinning yesterday it was still crisp and the need for layers was a big requirement.

I still very much plan on keeping the fashion focus on the blog, however you will need to bear with me as I alter to maternity wear for a little while! I hope you don’t mind!

I’d love to hear your tips on maternity wear if you have any!

back to work in monochrome

Witchery Skirt

Last Thursday I started back at work. It was a great time to start as I only had to work for two days before the weekend and was one way to deal with the heat wave we were having. We had four days over 40 degrees with lows of around 28 at nights; hot!! But I love the heat so it wasn’t to bad for me!

I love simple outfits for work especially when you are just sitting at a desk all day and this is exactly what I was going for here. Heels would have looked even better but flats were a must in the heat.

We were little early to work on Monday so I asked Andrew to stop past Geelong’s Waterfront .

As we stopped to admire the surrounds I decided to grab some photos for the blog. At the time the light was quite cool as it was misty, but this doesn’t show in the photos.

I forgot I had this necklace until I was trying to match something to the skirt. It’s amazing how much stuff one can own!
