Happy New Year everyone! I hope your 2015 has started well!

For 2015 rather than making a list of resolutions I decided to sum it up in a sentence. Although 2014 was a great year and I did enjoy lots of up and downs I felt I wasn’t in the moment all the time. So for 2015 my mantra is: “Live the adventure”  This means that I will take everyday as it comes and enjoy the moment and see where the adventure takes me.

I decided to take a week away from the blog as we went on an impromptu trip to Newcastle after a visit to the countryside. We couldn’t decide what to do for new years eve and at the last minute decided we’d go visit friends and check out what Newcastle had to offer. What a beautiful place it was and so nice to spend a few days by the beach. It was so nice to take a look around and see the beautiful beaches, natural baths and places to eat.

Before we headed off to Newcastle we headed up to the country to visit family. I loved getting photos in the beautiful surrounds. Andrew’s sister lives on a dairy farm and it was nice to leave the hustle and bustle and just listen to the birds chirp, and cows moo. There is something wonderful about all the open space and the beautiful fresh air, although it was quite hot it was fun to look around the farm.

What is your resolution summed up in a sentence? I’d love to hear them….

bali sunsets on the beach

Bali SunsetOne of my favourite things to do in Bali is watch the beautiful sunsets. The sun turns into beautiful colours and it really is spectacular.

I enjoy either heading to the beach or going somewhere for a pre-drink before dinner to watch the sun go down. It really is a must when visiting Bali.

I like to dress in simple outfits when walking around and this monochrome look is no exception. Normally I would tuck in this top with the skirt, but this seemed cooler at the time. The top has detail at the shoulders but I didn’t get a close up unfortunately. This style of skirt I find to be really flattering with the flare at the bottom.

Our last night in Bali was spent at Potato Head and it’s always a great way to have a delicious cocktail while watching the sunsets.

simple in oberoi street, bali

Oberi Street

It’s freezing here in Geelong and I thought I’d try and warm myself up by looking at more of my Bali images.

These photos were taking on a really popular strip in Bali called Oberoi Street. It’s known for its great shopping as well as great places to eat. We stayed in this street too, so makes getting around very easy.

This particular night we were on our way out to dinner (I’m going to do a post of my fav spots to eat in the next week or so!) Andrew and I stopped along the way to take a few snaps and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the busy street.

I took my trusty bright pink clutch from My.Boutique which really does make everything pop; and dressed it with a very monochrome look. Keeping things simple and cool is the key in Bali!

Have you been to Oberoi Street, Bali? What were your favourite places to shop and eat?

a simple summer dress

black and white

One of my favourite shops in Ocean Grove is closing down. This upsets me as I love the clothes they stock; but on a plus, it means they are having a massive closing down sale!

I was pretty excited to find this Mink Pink dress and loved the cut. Such a simple dress that can easily be dressed up or down and perfect for this glorious weather we are experiencing. It’s quickly becoming a staple in the wardrobe and proving to be a great go to!

What do you think of the dress?

On a side note, I have noticed I am doing the teapot A LOT! TIme to start posing differently! 🙂

the body shop at home and giveaway

Mink Pink tee

My love for The Body Shop started when I lived in Canada. I lived in Banff and down the main street was The Body Shop and it became my staple beauty product.

Since returning home I have continued to use their products and when I found out they can come to your home I got very excited! I decided to have The Body Shop at Home come to my house and show my friends the amazing products they have on offer.

Carly, a Body Shop at Home consultant came over and was brilliant telling my friends and family all about the products while I got to have my make up done! Every girl loves getting done up right!?
To anyone in Australia I highly recommend having a Body Shop at Home Party!

buckles and a touch of sparkle

Witchery shorts

I have been looking for a new coat for a little while now and I was thrilled when I found this coat.

The buckle details are what really pushed me to buy it as it was just so different to anything I had seen.

I decided to pair it with my black shorts and very neutral colours to allow the jacket to speak for itself.

What do you think of my new coat?

Have a great Friday everyone! I have the day off so very excited for a long weekend!

pink jeans with leopard print and a hat

 Zu Shoes

This is what I wore for casual Friday, after reading Rachel’s Lookbook the other day about jeans on to work, I decided jeans were fine to wear to work! I had to pair the look with my black hat as I’m in love with it at the moment, and I finally get to wear it in this weather!

I wanted to put fun socks in the gaps of my boots for something different. I think the sparkles worked with the sparkles in my jumper.

sparkle socks

As much as I love the colour of these jeans they aren’t the best quality. They stretch really quickly and look baggy, and you can really tell in these photos. Don’t you hate when a pair of jeans stretch way to much as soon as you put them on?
