monochrome with a pop of pink

Tweed River

This is another shoot I did with Kiah while up in Queensland. We were heading out for dinner and stopped on the way to grab some shots. I seem to be wearing a lot of monochrome of late. I not sure why either as I do love colour!

It’s so funny that my family is so used to me now just stopping when I find a destination to get photos. We were on the way to dinner when I said we have to stop and everyone sat and patiently waited while I get the perfect shot! That could be why I have a smug look on my face in these photos.

I seem to be living in these shoes since the weather has got better. They are really comfy plus they make me feel a little dresser  when wanting to wear flats.

I’ve been unhappy with the singlets I have been buying for a basic look. My friend suggested I look at country road basics as they wear and wash really well! She couldn’t have been more right! This singlet looks great and has washed really well. It goes to show that sometimes you really do need to put in the extra money for the quality.

I know you have seen this bag a lot in other posts but I love what it brings to outfits. It gives a pop of colour plus I get comments every time I seem to take it out, which I love as it’s local Geelong store and I love supporting local!

black and white spring racing

The girls

I love seeing all the black and white spring racing fashion at Derby Day. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts I’m a big believer in sticking to tradition and Derby day is black and white.

I couldn’t get to Derby Day this year but friend did and I made sure they got some of the fashion. Although so simple and only the two colours used, I love how much variety and styles were on show.

simple in oberoi street, bali

Oberi Street

It’s freezing here in Geelong and I thought I’d try and warm myself up by looking at more of my Bali images.

These photos were taking on a really popular strip in Bali called Oberoi Street. It’s known for its great shopping as well as great places to eat. We stayed in this street too, so makes getting around very easy.

This particular night we were on our way out to dinner (I’m going to do a post of my fav spots to eat in the next week or so!) Andrew and I stopped along the way to take a few snaps and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the busy street.

I took my trusty bright pink clutch from My.Boutique which really does make everything pop; and dressed it with a very monochrome look. Keeping things simple and cool is the key in Bali!

Have you been to Oberoi Street, Bali? What were your favourite places to shop and eat?

a monochrome weekend

Zara jumper

On the weekend if I have a quiet day I like to dress comfortable and casual, still with a touch of fun! These shoes were just what I needed to help with my weekend comfort. I love black and white and am getting more and more obsessed, but after seeing Melbourne Monday night at VAMFF I realise that’s just fashion at the moment!

A good black and white outfit can look that bit stylish when its such a simple outfit. These shoes won it for me when I saw the lace. Simple yet comfortable and stylish!

What do you think of my new shoes?
