laneways of melbourne

Melbourne

I love exploring Melbourne, especially when you come across the random laneways and amazing graffiti.
This particular laneway was fascinating, it had shoes all different colours as decoration hanging above from wall to wall.

The weather of late has been beautiful, with glorious autumn days here in Geelong and Melbourne. It’s a bit unexpected really as it had started to get quite cold!
Hence I have pulled out the boots but am still wearing skirts in this sunny weather.

This skirt was such a fun find; it’s quilted and I think will be versatile for winter with some tights underneath… (or maybe I need to add over the knee boots onto my want list! )
It’s navy and the colour has become a big staple colour in my wardrobe! My mummy style has made me think about purchases a lot, so I’m tending to stick to very neutral colours and navy is a neutral in my book!

I seem to be living in this jumper! I love that it works with anything I have on plus it’s not thick so perfect for this autumn weather.

In mummy news… it’s nearly mothers day and I have a gift guide coming with some great hints to buy your mum/wife/partner! Make sure you keep your eyes out for that!

hemline

Navy and white

This skirt caught my attention when I first saw it, especially because of the unusual hemline and the way it sat and looked on the model.

It was the first time I had looked at The Iconic and I discover two skirts that I really liked and put them into my shopping cart. Although I got these a while ago I haven’t had them on the blog yet! I really need to get more photos!! I haven’t really had any reason to look at the iconic and have realized there is so much on there on offer and perhaps somewhere I should be checking often for good finds. Plus the mixture of brands is quite good and you can find a really good wide price range. Both skirts I brought were great value and I’m really happy with them.

This skirt is comfy and sits really well and I’ve found by wearing a slip underneath I relax a lot more about the split and it really doesn’t move around that much anyway. It really does show every curve, but as I said to Andrew I’m embracing my inner JLO; booty is in!

These photos were fun to take with the brick wall as the background, making for quite an interesting contrast. I actually took them near work and it was quite funny with the early morning workers walking past having a chuckle as they saw me posing getting the right snap. They started posing back at me and pulling the teapot at me as I like to call it!

simple winter days

Country road jumper

A simple chic outfit is all you need on a wintery long weekend!

I went shopping in my wardrobe and rediscovered my mega high boots making a simple jumper and pants into a much more chic look.

I am in total love with my neon pink clutch, and so it seems everyone else! I keep getting the most wonderful comments from everyone! The thing I like even more about it; a fellow Geelong designer is the mastermind behind these! I highly recommend checking out My Boutique!
