festive season

I always find this week so busy! As mentioned it’s birthday week but it’s also almost Christmas so everything is on and happening.

We had Andrew’s Christmas party last week and I felt like been bright so went with this number. Like Vogue Vandal mentions on her blog I find the fit and flare skirt is super flattering for those girls with curves.

I love the bright pop of pink with the black and paired it with brown for my accessories.

What do you think?

stripes with neon

I had a great weekend and one of the fun activities I did was go out for lunch for my friend Courtney’s birthday to The Hill Winery. Amazing food and wine and I highly recommend to go give it a try! It was just a shame I had to drive!

This striped dress has been my go to of late. Its super comfy and can be dressed up or down. For a pop of colour I wore this great neon scarf to give it quite a pop.

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!

This outfit was put together after seeing a girl on TV. I loved her look and wanted to create something similar, not the same by any means but something with my own style.

I have also noticed quite a few fellow bloggers with similar looks as well. Chambray shirts, leather (ok it’s pleather) 🙂 skirt, neon colours and studs on shoes! That’s a whole lot of trends right there!

How did we get to Friday so quickly?!

This week has flown by, perhaps it could be as I’m so busy at work. I have a big event next Wednesday which is all coming together very nicely!

It’s casual Friday, so I felt like wearing something fun to work today. The neon pink doesn’t come up very well in these photos. Check out this post for a better look.
Do you like my new bag I got on sale from Sportsgirl on Monday?? (Ok I have had time to look at shops! ha ha)

Can you believe it’s Monday already? Time seems to fly over the weekend with Monday coming back around too quickly!

We caught up with our friend’s Beth and James over the weekend, with a plan to do something fun… The boys had both been promised a game of golf at a special golf course for their birthdays; (back in December) so Beth and I thought we’d join them on the course. Rather than try and play we opted for driving the golf buggy around the course and taking the time to get a good snap or two.

I’d like to credit the photography to the talented Beth! It was a great background at Thirteenth Beach Golf Links in Barwon Heads and a super fun afternoon in the beautiful sunshine.

These shorts were a birthday present from my mum. I am in love with them even though they are extremely bright!  I also love hats so any excuse to wear one and I do.

black out

Image from Mon Amie Blog

I’m sorry for posting twice in one day but I thought I’d send a post out to tell you about Black Out!

Monique from Mon Amie has set the challenge to a group of bloggers to not wear black for one week.

Mon says on her blog  “Black Out” will be occurring from the 26th November through to the 3rd of December. For one whole week I have challenged a group of bloggers to ban black and embrace the beauty of colour.”

I have accepted the challenge and will be posting photos on the blog as well as through facebook, instagram and twitter.  Check out the hash tags #blackout, #anythingbutblack and #banningblack. Check out her blog to see who else is involved!

So here I go and cant wait to see what everyone comes up with. I’ve even recruited Superficial Sadie’s creator Darcie to join in.

a pop of colour

I completed my first fun run Sunday which was a huge achievement for me. I’ve never ran before and after 12 weeks of training I ran 6km without stopping! Run Geelong is a great cause and this year over 11,000 people participated in rasing money for the Geelong Hospital.

I did pull up slightly sore, so flat shoes were a must. I also felt like bringing some brightness to the start of the week, so my green shirt was the way to go.

Neon Wallet

I’ve needed a wallet for a while as my other one was starting to split at the sides, but I hadn’t really started looking. I walked into Sportsgirl the other day to help a friend look for a top and came across the accessories range, I have forgotten how impressive they are. There it was looking at me and I knew it was meant to be.

It has already been on some fun adventures with me, getting some great comments. An outfit with the wallet will be appearing next week.

In the meantime have a wonderful weekend, I know I’m excited it’s here!
