mim and bas

Purple

I am so excited to say that I have become a brand rep for Mim and Bas. A beautiful maternity, nursing and beyond store with a love for fashion.

I was gifted with this purple and cream striped dress and I can already tell I’m going to live in it, not only during my pregnancy but after the baby comes to feed as adapts so well with the top easily coming away.

I still love trying to make an outfit different and still making myself feel like me, so I styled this outfit with my trusty fedora and boots, plus in the winter sun tights needed to be added.

These photos were taken in Perth in the beautiful winter sun, which was nice to not have to worry about a scarf or jacket to show off the purple colour!

rottnest island

Rottnest Isand

When looking at what to do in Perth, I was overwhelmed with the amount of people who said go to Rottnest Island.

We stayed with friends while in Perth and they too hadn’t made the trek across the water to check out the island.

We saw showers were forecast for the morning, but thought we’d still take the ferry ride. Note to self: always check the island’s weather forecast! It poured rain for pretty much the entire day!

We had hired bikes to explore the islands and figured we would still keep up the plan. Brooke and I went and found some rain ponchos and decided to give it a go and still ride around and embrace the rain as there was no sign of the rain easing. Through the rain it was still beautiful and I can see what everyone raves about this tourist attraction.

With the sun shining briefly we did get to stop and take a few shots and capture the island.

My hair was drenched, make-up washed away but it was a great day all the same. Might have to come back in the summertime.

exploring perth

Kings Park

Andrew and I decided we needed a break after a very big few months and have packed our bags and headed to Perth for a week of relaxation.

It was actually funny as we debated long and hard where to go and after lots of back and forth decided we hadn’t been to Perth, and having the added bonus of having friends here that we would come visit for a week.

While I plan on not doing much and relaxing (hopefully thawing out from the cold) I did want to explore and see some of the sights of Perth.

We headed to Kings Park as I’d heard some wonderful things; and people weren’t wrong. Beautiful City views of Perth CBD, the swan river plus plenty to see and do in the park. I really enjoyed exploring.

It was nice not to have a big coat on or even a scarf, although we did receive some rain but still it was great not to be cold! Still finding stripes are following me and I love showing off the bump now and embracing my changing shape. I guess now I’m over the halfway mark I am going to see lots of growth!!
