simple winter days

Country road jumper

A simple chic outfit is all you need on a wintery long weekend!

I went shopping in my wardrobe and rediscovered my mega high boots making a simple jumper and pants into a much more chic look.

I am in total love with my neon pink clutch, and so it seems everyone else! I keep getting the most wonderful comments from everyone! The thing I like even more about it; a fellow Geelong designer is the mastermind behind these! I highly recommend checking out My Boutique!

What is your favourite winter look?

I wore this outfit last weekend, to do a few bits and pieces; a coffee date, shopping and staying cool!
I felt like playing around with the look when I got Andrew to take a few snaps, and couldn’t decide on which shoes worked better.
The hair had gone curly from the beach, but I love the feeling of salty hair and enjoying sunshine! I really am a summer baby!

Heels or flats? What is your preference?

black and white

Mossman Jumper

I love it when you are looking for something (an outfit piece) and you discover exactly what you are after, located in your wardrobe! Bonus!

This is how I came across this black midi skirt! I brought this back when I was 19 so pretty happy with the find!

I am loving the black and white trend. With the weather changing and starting to warm up, (I’m excited for spring) I decided this outfit was just what I needed.

Work has started to calm down again now so hoping to put some T.L.C back into this blog as I really enjoy it! Who knows one day it may be a fulltime job, but that’s a long way off yet!

grey and black with a yellow jacket

Forever 21 jacket

It’s that time of year where I never know exactly which way to dress. Do I go all out winter or do I try and hold on to some elements of autumn. I guess it’s only a couple days until we offically call it Winter!

I went to Queensland over the weekend, and I learnt that Dad’s do not take photos! As much as I enjoyed the holiday with my dad visiting my grandparents, none of them would take a picture for me, hence no post on Monday.

I love wearing yellow when it is cold for a pop of sunshine and paired it with my otherwise dull coloured outfit. I am loving that this dress is turning out to be so transeasonal!
Do you like wearing colour to make you feel better?

black and white pants with a hint of magenta

Cold weather

Yay for the weekend!

This is a quick Friday post. In stark contrast to my last post; I am well and truly rugged up for the cold weather here!

I wanted to pair the black and white with a bit of colour, so added my magenta beads and colourful scarf to the black and white.

All of the photos you’ll notice that I’m looking to the side…. it was the only way to stop the wind making my hair go crazy!

Hope you all too are looking forward to the weekend!

april flashback

The last month of Autumn… now the cold weather will start here in Geelong!

April was a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to a busy May.

Here is a recap of my outfits. Which one was your favourite for April?

blue and white

      Valley Girl Skirt

I am someone who prefers not to wear the traditional “Melbourne” black outfit to work. I like to add colour and flare to my work wardrobe; it puts me in a better mood (Although I’m smiley most of the time!).
When I found this blue skater skirt, I knew it would become a great winter staple for me! It will get worn with black tights for warmth, but the added colour breaks up the black from head to toe look.

Do you like my new skirt?

This scarf is also a newbie for this season. I love the colours in it and it will go with so much!

Witchery Jacket

This is a quick post to show you my outfit from Monday.

I’m in love with the silver jacket I picked up from Witchery. It’s becoming a big staple in my work wardrobe.

I hope everyone is enjoying the week so far.

a pop of yellow

splash of yellow

We have been having the most wonderful weather the last few weeks. Summer really is showing us all it has to offer! I decided to make the most of a summer’s day outfit and paired it with pops of yellow.

This skirt was ironed before I put it on! Looking at these photos, it looks terrible; I guess it’s just the way the skirt works!

I was inspired by the sunshine and felt like being bright and girly! Almost the weekend… and a wonderful one planned with wonderful weather. I think I’ll be hitting the beach and more work on the house to be done.

cream peplum and black jeans

Cream peplum top

On Saturday night I caught up with some friends for dinner. Knowing I had to work the next day, (very early) I decided to go a little more casual than normal and opted for my trusty black jeans. These Mavi jeans were a birthday present and I do love them, except for the fact they are a little long in the legs. I guess that’s what I get for being short!

This top I found in H&M Tokyo! Ange actually found it first and got herself a black one, I decided to copy her with a cream one! It’s so comfortable and was a bargain!

The necklace is another favourite birthday present I was given. Its from one of my favourite boutiques, Princess Polly.

Hope your week is going well, Friday is getting closer!

(Sorry about the photos, the light wasn’t great and my usual photographer was unavailable so got mum to give it a go!)
