navy, grey and stripes

Park Shot

I have two days to go until I can wear tights. No one would notice if I gave in early but I said I wouldn’t wear them until May and I’m sticking to it! Winter has come from no where and it has been pretty damn cold here in Geelong! I can’t believe it as I really love the warm weather and in no way am I ready for winter!

I thought the challenge I gave to myself would be easy until I realized how many skirts I own and how much I don’t like wearing pants. Don’t get me wrong I love my jeans but tailored pants I just don’t seem to own or wear and not wearing tights has limited my choice of daily outfit!

Someone said to me, “Aren’t you excited about scarves, coast and layering?” Well that answer is no! As much as I do love the looks and what is around I am not looking forward to the cold weather. I love summer!

What I am excited about is navy and grey. Stripes too. I think they will be a staple for me over the next six months. Although I still love these colours in summer I think they will be a good winter base for me as well.

denim, black and white

I’ve just had an impromptu social media vacation. It wasn’t intended nor was it because I was over it, it just sort of happened and it felt good.

I’m back now though! I cant wait to get stuck back into everything with lots of fun and exciting posts coming your way. It was nice to step away and relax and realise that life does go on without checking Instagram fifty times a day!

Back to fashion…

I love trying to adapt the clothes I have in my wardrobe. This way I get lots of wear out of  my clothes and change their style. This black top is one of those pieces I wanted to get more wear out of. Being a crop it’s not so easy to wear as the weather starts cooling down and not quite practical enough for work either. A simple white tee with some ripped jeans were the best pairing to try out the look I had in mind.

It was so fun to put this together and I’m really happy with the look, a casual yet fun style with heels to dress it up a little more ready for a dinner out.

Plus the industrial background made for some great images and was a fun shoot.

bright, sunshine, flowers and smiles

Sunshine

Bright, sunshine, flowers and smiles; that  was what my weekend was about! I had such an incredible weekend, and the best part is I had an extra day with taking Monday off work!

On Friday I was spoilt with flowers sent to me at work by my beautiful friend, with the note “fresh flowers to brighten your day!” and that they did! It made the weekend feel like it was going to be wonderful.

I was in such a great mood from my surprise I grabbed Andrew and called my girlfriend and headed off to Union Street Wine Bar for a cheeky red straight after work. It was so nice to just unwind before launching into the weekend.  As we sat enjoying a glass of red I noticed I had an instagram message and I was very excited to see I had won some beautiful flowers from She’s a Wildflower thanks to King of the Castle’s first birthday! Aren’t they amazing?

Winning

Saturday saw us head of to watch the AFL prelim final with some mates which was great to catch up and with our team out it didn’t matter who won; although I was going for Port!!  Followed by a yummy dinner in Melbourne.

Sunday the sun was shinning, the Fox in Flats style challenge was bright and it just made it a beautiful day. I headed off to King of the Castle to pick up my beautiful flowers and enjoy  the glorious sunshine and really enjoyed the day!

exploring bali

BIKE BLURRED

Bali is an incredible place with so much beauty and unique qualities. Andrew surfs so it gives me a chance to go and explore places you wouldn’t normally see (If you didn’t need to find the best wave!)

I went out with Andrew and we found some incredible places to take photos. I love the way these photos have turned out and show off different areas of such an incredible place.

a simple yet chic tee

Elm Knitwear Tee

When you don’t know what the day is going to bring you need to wear something that will do for any occasion.  I love throwing on a tee with a pretty skirt so I’m ready to handle whatever I need to when plans are up in the air.

That’s how this day went when I decided to put on my new Elm Knitwear tee. It is so comfortable and turns a simple outfit into chic. With the right skirt and accessories I was ready to tackle the day.

It turned out to be a great decision, as we went to a 1st birthday party, tried out a new restaurant, Zigfrids and then onto the movies to finally see ‘Wolf of Wall Street’.

Elm Knitwear is such a fun brand and their clothing is made from the best quality of fabrics. This t-shirt is no exception; silk on the front and cotton at the back. Perfect for a 30 degree day!

What is your simple go to outfit to tackle the day?

silky black pants

Elm Knitwear

I have been in a black hole of no internet over the last week and it is sooo frustrating. Hence I’ve been a little quiet on here.

We are also renovating.. building a new kitchen which has also kept me extremely busy and outfits have not been blog-worthy!

These pants I have on are the most comfortable pants ever. They feel like pjs but still look classic and chic. They are silk and fit really well, coming in at the ankle and a sash at the waist. They are from Elm Knitwear and I’m so excited to show you more of their collection in the coming weeks.

What do you think?

Andrew and I attended a beautiful wedding located at The Barn, Wallington earlier this month.

I wanted to wear something bright and summery and this outfit was perfect for the day. I loved the purple and orange combination and I felt really comfortable in this outfit.
