winter is here

Kirsty

Winter is here and it’s starting to get cold! Not my favorite time of year.. unless there is snow!

I shouldn’t be too sad as I am going to beautiful sunshine in 25 sleeps! I’m heading off to Bali to replenish after my crazy period at work.

I’ve pulled out my jumpers, tights are back out and layering is now the key; especially when the office goes from hot to cold.

Are you a winter person?

merry christmas

???????????????????????????????

Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope you all had the most wonderful day with family and friends or maybe travelling the world.

This was my Christmas Eve outfit I had on to do a few last minute tasks. I had so much fun doing this photo shoot. We went down to the river in Barwon Heads and found a great spot. These photos turned out better than planned and I’m really happy with them!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Over the long weekend, we headed to Melbourne for a day of exploring. We did have to spend sometime (3 hours!) at Ikea as we are about to renovate our kitchen; but decided to do something fun first.

I was very lucky in getting tickets to go and explore Eureka Skydeck! What a view is all I can say… Travelling up 88 floors in the matter of seconds, you really can tell why Melbourne is one of the most beautiful cities! The views are spectacular and really show off the ever changing skyline.

We also got to go out of the “edge” which is a glass cube which pops out from the building – with you in it. Such a great thrill but not for those afraid of heights! You cant take photos inside, but it was great fun.

After taking these photos I’m wishing I didn’t have leggings on under my skirt as it would have looked much better however it wasn’t warm enough for bare legs!

On a bright sunny day what better place to take some photos then Barwon Heads. We are so lucky in the fact that this is home.

I am loving this skirt and as mentioned before it really is going to be a big staple in my summer wardrobe.

I felt like wearing flats instead of heels today but I think they work.

With a bit of sunshine in the air (and no wind or rain) I decided to bring back out the shorts over the weekend. I wanted a casual easy look as we were having a quiet day and visiting some friends. I had forgotten I had this pink top and thought it was just the right amount of warmth I needed, so popped it on with my skort.

I have seen skorts everywhere and now I realise why! Not only do they look great and make you feel good but they are so comfortable to wear! No wonder bloggers have embraced with open arms. I love all the different colours and patterns that are around but stoked I stayed with the white when I brought these a few months ago. Now I need to be daring enough to pull off the all white look!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Last Friday was the most beautiful morning after a lot of rain during the week plus I returned from sunshine in Bali!

I got Andrew to stop before work and grab some photos by Geelong’s Waterfront and I am thrilled with how the photos turned out. It really shows off Geelong’s beauty!

I love this jumper I picked up at Bardot’s end of season sale. The back was just so different!

I’m on holidays and so excited to be having a break, and even more excited to be heading to Bali tomorrow!

We caught up with friends yesterday and I went for the black and white look yet again, and added some leather to toughen up the look. A beautiful sunny day and even more excited that its going to be 27 today!

Have a great week everyone!

Sunday was such a beautiufl day! A perfect  day to celebrate all the dad’s for Father’s day!

I pulled out the yellow jeans and thought I’d go casual with a black tee. Loving these shoes I found as well. They were inexpensive and looked great; love a bargin!

We spent lunch by the beach so decided it was the perfect location for some photos.

Hope you are all having wonderful weeks!

Monday.. back again so soon! I dont mind though as I had a wonderful weekend filled with lots of excercise and relaxing.

I’m so lucky to live where I do on The Bellarine, there are beautiful wineries all so close to our home. Andrew and I invited some friends and decided to check out Jack Rabbit Vineyard. I have only heard good things and when we got there it was beautiful; the views were amazing! Andrew took these photos for me as we were leaving, as the rain stopped and the sun came out!

I’m not sure on this whole outfit…. If it all works together or not.

Cold weather

Yay for the weekend!

This is a quick Friday post. In stark contrast to my last post; I am well and truly rugged up for the cold weather here!

I wanted to pair the black and white with a bit of colour, so added my magenta beads and colourful scarf to the black and white.

All of the photos you’ll notice that I’m looking to the side…. it was the only way to stop the wind making my hair go crazy!

Hope you all too are looking forward to the weekend!
