its getting cold outside

Kirsty

It’s started to get cold outside! Summer has left us and winter is coming quickly.

Time to layer, with the sun still trying to shine in the afternoons.

I’m still on my no tights until May with just over a week to go! But it is a struggle as the cold weather sets in.

I do love some of the amazing winter pieces around but I do hope it’s not a really cold winter…  7 months until summer!

I love navy and grey and I think I will be in these colours a lot of he next few months! Still bringing white and pink in for some pops.

my bali photo diary

Although it was a couple of weeks ago now I thought I would put up some more photos from my recent Bali trip. Andrew took most of these images however I really enjoyed taking photos as well.

Before I left for beautiful Bali I was very lucky to receive this stunning Kimono from Elm Knitwear. The colours are stunning and it is such an incredible piece! I cant wait to get more wear out of it.

We spent a lot of time exploring and looking around the incredible streets of Bali. We tried incredible food and enjoyed the sights of Seminyak.

Bali is somewhere I do go often but its everything I could want; beautiful weather, great shopping, amazing food and very friendly on the budget. I recommend Bali to everyone!

winter has arrived

It has got cold here in Geelong! Really cold I was even sick all last week with my first cold in a long time!

I’m now trying to build up the immune system and finding out lots of new remedies from lots of people. Do you have any good recommendations?

This time of year can get warm, but with chilly mornings so it’s all about layering. This is what I tried with this look.

I hope you have had wonderful weekends, even with the pouring rain!

blue top and jeans in the sunshine

Tuesday evening I went out for dinner to celebrate my birthday with my family. As always I was very spoilt and loved the family time!

I decided to go more casual for dinner as we went to a little Thai restaurant, Bai Thong Thai on Pakington Street. It was delicious and I highly recommend!! Everything is so fresh and made with lots of flavour.

I got Andrew to quickly take these just before we went in and I couldn’t decide if I wanted a jacket, hence one photo with the jacket over my shoulder.

Summer has finally arrived here in Geelong, in fact as I write this it’s 39 degrees outside!

For the last week I’ve been enjoying Sunny Queensland while visiting my grandparents. I didn’t want to leave as the weather has been amazing,  not so much back home!

I picked this dress up at a little boutique in Geelong and I think I’ll be living in it over summer (if it comes to Victoria!)

I hope everyone has had a great and fun weekend! I know we did.

Last week I attended my friend’s art exhibition for her final year at Uni. It was fantastic and fascinating to see what the students had created. To check out more on the art you can read Artin Geelong’s Blog.

This is my new Witchery skirt, which will become my work staple for the summer. I loved the asymmetric lines and the coated edges.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

The rain is back in Geelong. For the last week it’s been raining a fair bit; but on the upside you can feel the temperature is rising! Hopefully the good spring/summer weather is not too far off.

These photos were on the way to work the other morning; quickly getting a few snaps in between the rain! I don’t mind too much about the rain as I heading to Bali next week! Yay!!!! I don’t know what is more exciting, actually going to Bali or just not been at work after a crazy few months!

I love Bali for the pure reason of doing nothing, after several visits I don’t need to see anything! Just lying beside the pool reading magazines and enjoying the weather! Hopefully I’ll be able to blog a little while I’m away as well!

It’s Bright Pink Lipstick Day tomorrow, so make sure wear your brightest pink lippy or donate!

Sunday was such a beautiufl day! A perfect  day to celebrate all the dad’s for Father’s day!

I pulled out the yellow jeans and thought I’d go casual with a black tee. Loving these shoes I found as well. They were inexpensive and looked great; love a bargin!

We spent lunch by the beach so decided it was the perfect location for some photos.

Hope you are all having wonderful weeks!

I love it when you are looking for something (an outfit piece) and you discover exactly what you are after, located in your wardrobe! Bonus!

This is how I came across this black midi skirt! I brought this back when I was 19 so pretty happy with the find!

I am loving the black and white trend. With the weather changing and starting to warm up, (I’m excited for spring) I decided this outfit was just what I needed.

Work has started to calm down again now so hoping to put some T.L.C back into this blog as I really enjoy it! Who knows one day it may be a fulltime job, but that’s a long way off yet!

Monday.. back again so soon! I dont mind though as I had a wonderful weekend filled with lots of excercise and relaxing.

I’m so lucky to live where I do on The Bellarine, there are beautiful wineries all so close to our home. Andrew and I invited some friends and decided to check out Jack Rabbit Vineyard. I have only heard good things and when we got there it was beautiful; the views were amazing! Andrew took these photos for me as we were leaving, as the rain stopped and the sun came out!

I’m not sure on this whole outfit…. If it all works together or not.
What do you think?
