keepin’ it simple

Bardot Hat

I say it all the time, but on weekends when I dont have much on I like to keep things simple!

Last weekend was no exception and on my way to buy some fresh flowers I got some snaps taken, to show my everyday casual look.

What is your casual weekend look?

VAMFF Opening Night

VAMFF

Last Monday I was lucky enough to go to the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF). Andrew got me tickets for my birthday late last year, which was such a thoughtful gift!

I took along my bestie Nicole and not only did we get to see the opening runway by David Jones we also got to go into the VIP party and hear Kate Miller Heidke’s amazing voice. I even got to meet some fellow bloggers which really made my night.

I also found a pink jacket! I am in love with it and decided it was the perfect place to debut!

bye summer…

The Bellarine

Today is officially the last day of summer which makes me sad; although we have a very warm autumn here in Geelong.  I really can’t believe it’s come and gone!

I am obsessed with this straw hat; (what am I saying) All hats! They rock and I cant wait to add more to my collection. This one is a current crush and love how much shade it provides!

I find it so much easier dressing for warmer days. I do think winter fashion can be great fun, but for me it’s easier when its warm to decide on the perfect outfit. It must be because I am a summer baby!

What season do you like dressing for?

summer playsuit

Colette

I have been looking for a playsuit for so long… I didn’t know what exactly I was looking for until this came across my computer screen!

And it was on sale! Oh the joy; I knew it needed to come live in my wardrobe! The lace detail and the cut out at the back was what caught my attention.

Yes, it is a little short, but I feel if you cover the top half why not show off the legs! One day I wont be able to so enjoy while I can I say!

What do you think of my playsuit?

a simple yet chic tee

Elm Knitwear Tee

When you don’t know what the day is going to bring you need to wear something that will do for any occasion.  I love throwing on a tee with a pretty skirt so I’m ready to handle whatever I need to when plans are up in the air.

That’s how this day went when I decided to put on my new Elm Knitwear tee. It is so comfortable and turns a simple outfit into chic. With the right skirt and accessories I was ready to tackle the day.

It turned out to be a great decision, as we went to a 1st birthday party, tried out a new restaurant, Zigfrids and then onto the movies to finally see ‘Wolf of Wall Street’.

Elm Knitwear is such a fun brand and their clothing is made from the best quality of fabrics. This t-shirt is no exception; silk on the front and cotton at the back. Perfect for a 30 degree day!

What is your simple go to outfit to tackle the day?

back to work in monochrome

Witchery Skirt

Last Thursday I started back at work. It was a great time to start as I only had to work for two days before the weekend and was one way to deal with the heat wave we were having. We had four days over 40 degrees with lows of around 28 at nights; hot!! But I love the heat so it wasn’t to bad for me!

I love simple outfits for work especially when you are just sitting at a desk all day and this is exactly what I was going for here. Heels would have looked even better but flats were a must in the heat.

sparkles at a wedding

Princess Polly

Last Saturday I went to Wedding of two of our friends. The weather was beautiful and I wanted to wear something quite fun!

I’ve had this sparkle dress in my wardrobe for sometime now but never really worn it anywhere and decided the wedding was the perfect occasion.

I loved the hair style my very talented hairdresser Rhiannon created. Something fun and different highlighting the ombre look I have. These shoes are also the most comfy pair and such a great investment!

orange in the summertime

Kirsty

Summer has hit in a big way here in Geelong. But I’m not complaining as I love the hot weather. Going to the beach and wearing fun outfits its a great time of year, especially when your still on holidays!

This top is so comfy and I love the colour. When I came across Elm Knitwear it was one of the first pieces that caught my eye. Who can go wrong with orange; its the new black!

I hope you all had wonderful weekends!
